Project Info:
Brief: 3,200 sqm office building to act as an ’accelerator’ for businesses in the Tees Valley’s emerging Digital Sector.
Design: The first major project completed in Middlesbrough’s Bohozone area, Boho One is a significant regeneration project for both the town and the wider region. The building not only provides high quality workspace but an environment which encourages networking and knowledge sharing between businesses and individuals.
The building has been assessed as BREEAM Excellent, utilising a ground source heat pump and wind turbines as well as natural daylighting and ventilation to minimise the building’s energy consumption. Boho One was awarded the LABC Northern Region Best Sustainable Building Award in 2009 and Best workplace Building in the 2010 RICS North East Renaissance Awards.
