Project Info:
Brief: Shackleton House comprises five apartments, including a basement level, in a central London location close to Kings Cross Station. A challenging site sandwiched between a 1930s tenement block and a new secondary school sports hall, every square inch of space was important to the success of the development.
Design: The build features a timber frame construction and London Stock brick-slip cladding. A projecting box section extends the line of the building, making the most of all available space, and a stepped-back penthouse level offers views across the London roof line. Cedar cladding and cedar window surrounds complement the yellow London Stock.
