  • Location: Trail following River Tyne
  • Completed: Dec 2007 - Dec 2008
  • Client: Environment Agency

Project Info:

Brief: To encourage more people to use and enjoy the Tyne.

Design: A contemporary traveling sculpture trail of 10 cubes, each depicting a different aspect of the Tyne Salmon. The family of cubes made by furniture designer Nick James were designed to travel along the banks of the Tyne following the Tyne salmon themselves as they embark on their amazing journey from Kielder to the mouth of the Tyne.

As well as hosting events the cubes were invited to be present at key events such as EAT! 08, the Late Shows and the Mouth of the Tyne Festival.
